Road accident kills 3 in Bogura

Three people died and one was critically injured in Adamdighi of Bogura when a truck hit another one from behind. The incident happened next to the Muroil Bazar bridge of Adamdighi on the Naogaon-Bogura Highway early on Saturday.

The deceased were identified as Truck driver Dadon Miah, 46, Rafikul Islam, 46, and Mostak Ali, 45. Truck driver's assistant Saiful Islam, 23 was critically injured in this incident and is now receiving treatment at Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College in Bogura.

According to police and local sources, a goods-laden truck broke down and was parked near the bridge. Around 3:30am on Saturday, another truck hit the parked one from behind.

Dadon Miah and Rafikul Islam died on the spot. The other two were brought to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College, where Mostak died. Doctors have said Saiful's condition is critical.

Confirming the matter, Adamdighi Police Station Officer-in-Charge Rezaul Karim said the vehicles involved in the incident were seized. Legal measures will be taken in this regard.
