PM set to address mammoth public gathering in Rangpur

Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina is set to address a mammoth public rally in the divisional city of Rangpur on Wednesday.

The divisional grand rally will begin at the ground of the Rangpur Zilla School at 2pm.

According to party sources, the Prime Minister is expected to address the rally at 3pm to drum up public support in favour of her party's electoral symbol "Boat" ahead of the upcoming national polls.

She is going to address a rally in the same ground after a gap of 12 years.

The premier is scheduled to reach Rangpur at 1:30pm by a helicopter.

There is a stage set up for public meetings that is shaped like a boat.

The Prime Minister will lay the cornerstone for five additional projects at the rally in addition to launching 27 development schemes.

In the Rangpur division, especially in the divisional city, enthusiasm and celebration have been pervasive among the leaders and activists of the AL and its front and associate organisations. 

Everyone, regardless of socioeconomic level, is looking forward to hearing the prime minister.
