1 killed, 2 injured in Faridpur bike crash

A biker was killed and two pillion riders were injured in a motorbike crash in Sadarpur upazila of Faridpur on Monday night.

The deceased was identified as Shaon Khan, 19. The two injured are Robin Bepari, 20, and Ashik Bepari, 19.

According to eyewitnesses, Shaon was crossing the Noler Tek area of Akoterchar Union at around 6:30pm when his motorbike collided head-on with a Nosimon (locally made vehicle).

Upon impact, Shaon sustained injuries on his head and chest. Locals rescued him and his two pillion riders and took them to the Sadarpur Upazila Health Complex. The duty doctor declared Shaon dead and sent the other two to the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College.

Confirming the incident, Sadarpur Police Station Officer in Charge Mamun Al Rashid said police has seized both vehicles involved in the collision. Legal measures will be taken after carrying out an investigation.
