Army deployed to manage flood, landslide in Ctg, Bandarban

Members of the Bangladesh Army have been deployed to tackle the heavy flooding and the resulting landslide situation in Chattogram and Bandarban.

The deployment was announced in an Inter-Services Public Relations Directorate (ISPR) notification issued Tuesday. 

Heavy rainfall in the last four days has caused immense suffering for Chattogram city dwellers. The city's roads, alleys, and even homes have become inundated. A college student named Nipa Palit, 24, died after falling into a canal and drowning.

Moreover, the University of Chittagong shuttle train service has stopped due to the train tracks being flooded. At least four departments of the university were forced to pause examinations due to inclement weather.
