Tourist's body recovered from haor

The Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) recovered the body of a tourist from the Mithamain haor in Kishoreganj after he slipped and fell off a trawler on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Antar Chakrabarti, 32. His body was found floating in the haor at around 9:15am on Sunday.

Kishoreganj FSCD senior station officer Abujor Gifari confirmed the matter.

Antar Chakrabarti and his family members were visiting the haor on a trawler on Friday. There were five women, three men and two children among them. Later the same day, Antar Chakrabarty was bathing on the trawler when he slipped and fell into the water and went missing.

On information, five divers from Kishoreganj Sadar started a search operation.
