Derailment snaps Jashore's train communication with rest of country

Train communication of Jashore with the rest of the country halted on Thursday morning when an oil-laden train derailed at Basundia Baniargati of Sadar upazila.

The incident happened at around 4am at the Baniargati rail crossing. No casualties were reported.

Jashore Railway Junction Station Master Aynal Hasan said, the Natore-bound train left from Khulna and derailed near Singia station, snapping Khulna's train communication with the rest of the country.

Several trains are stranded in Khulna and Jashore stations as a result of the derailment, he said.
