Condolences pour in for ex-religious minister Motiur Rahman

Tributes and condolences continue to pour in for Awami League (AL) Advisory Council Member, former Religious Affairs Minister and valiant Freedom Fighter Principal Motiur Rahman, who passed away at the age of 81 on Sunday.

Immediately after his demise, people from all walks of life as well as different political parties and leaders expressed their shock and sent condolences.

President Mohammed Shahabuddin and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Motiur Rahman.

In separate condolence messages, the President and the Premier prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.

Besides, in separate condolence messages, Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury and JS Deputy Speaker Shamsul Haque Tuku condoled the death of Motiur Rahman.
