Truck-motorbike collision kills 2 students in Natore

A head-on collision between a truck and a motorbike killed two college students in Baraigram upazila of Natore.

The incident happened at around 9:30pm on Wednesday in the Gormati area of the upazila. The two deceased are Mahmudul Islam Monon, 21, and Arian Hasan Abir, 22. They were both honours second-year students at the Rajapur Degree College.

According to police and locals, Abir and Monon were on a motorbike going from Gormati to Rajapur. A collision with a truck killed both of them on the spot.

On information, police went to the spot and recovered the bodies, said Bonpara Highway Police Station Sub Inspector Alimul Islam.

The truck was seized, but the driver escaped. Legal measures will be taken in this connection, he said.
