Rampal Power Plant resumes production

Rampal Coal-Fired Thermal Power Plant in Bagerhat returned to production after three days of closure.

The power plant resumed production on Monday night, confirmed Anwar-ul Azim, deputy general manager (DGM) of Bangladesh-India Friendship Power Company (Pvt. Ltd.) BIFPCL Limited.

On September 14, production halted due to a mechanical error. Since the power plant resumed production, 260 MW of electricity is being added to the national grid.
