Collision between autorickshaw, bike kills 1

A head-on collision between a motorbike and a CNG-run autorickshaw has killed one and injured three others in Nalchity of Jhalokathi.

The incident happened at the Dapdapia Kather Ghor area on the Barishal-Patuakhali Highway at around 9pm on Wednesday.

Biker Md Riazul Islam Sabuj, 55, was critically injured in the collision. He was taken to the Sher-e-Bangla Medical College (SBMC) in Barishal. Upon arrival, the duty doctor declared him dead.

The autorickshaw driver as well as two passengers were injured in this incident. They are receiving treatment at the same hospital.

Nalchity Police Station Officer in charge Monoranjan Mistri confirmed the matter. No legal measures have been taken yet in this connection.
