Fugitive convict held in Fatikchari

The members of the elite force Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), in a drive, has arrested a fugitive convict from Fatikchari Upazila in Chattogram district on Tuesday.

The convict is Ibrahim Khalil, 40, hailed from Charlakshmi village in Ramgati upazila, said 

Lieutenant Commander Mahmudul Hasan of RAB-11.

On information, a team of RAB conducted a raid in Tokirhat area under Fatikchari Upazila and arrested him.

Ibrahim Khalil was on run since his conviction. He was awarded to life term imprisonment in a double murder case filed in 2017 in Ramgati Thana, said Public Prosecutor of Lakshmipur Jasim Uddin.

The RAB men handed Ibrahim Khalil over to Ramgati Thana police.
