Tourist ships resume operation on Teknaf-St Martin's route

After two days of closure on the Teknaf-St Martin's Island sea route, the operation of tourist ships resumed on Thursday.

Three ships left Damdamiya Jetty Ghat in Teknaf for St Martin's Island with around 1,300 tourists around 10am. All the operation of the sea route was suspended by the Teknaf Upazila administration for two days for Cyclone Hamoon.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Adnan Chowdhury said the ban on the movement of all kinds of vessels including tourist ships on the route was lifted. Stranded tourists could return mainland today (Thursday), he added.
