RMG workers block Dhaka-Tangail Highway

Protesting RMG workers burned tires and goods on the Dhaka-Tangail Highway, engaged in multiple rounds of clashes with the police, and vandalised nearby establishments early on Tuesday.

Workers blocked the roads demanding a minimum wage of Tk 23,000 and protesting the death of two RMG workers since 9am.

The clashes spread to Mouchak, Safipur, Konabari, and Palli Bidyut areas of Gazipur.

However, no statement from the police was available on the incident as of yet.
