Bird poachers fined in Natore

A mobile court in Singra Upazila of the district fined three bird poachers Tk 6000 for hunting birds in Chalan Beel on Friday. 

Assistant Commissioner (land) Md Al Imran led the drive conducted in Hulhulia and Sardanagar areas in the Upazila this morning and fined Abdur Razzak, 65, Lutfur Rahman Lotu, 54, and Moju Sarder, 75, for hunting birds in Chalan Beel.

Four teenage boys who were held by the activists of the Chalan Beel Biodiversity Protection Committee in the morning for hunting birds were released by the court. 

A total of 15 bird species, including heron, were freed in the Beel and 10000 meters current net destroyed by the mobile court.
