Couple drowns while bathing in Cox's Bazar beach

A couple drowned on Sunday morning while taking a swim at Cox's Bazar's Laboni Point beach.

The deceased were identified as Bonpara residents of the Baraigram Upazila in the Natore district, Sabikun Nahar Shuma, and her husband, Abul Kashem Bakul. 

They left for Cox's Bazar on Saturday, and while taking a bath at the beach on Sunday morning, they drowned.

Sea Safe Life Guard Supervisor Osman Goni stated that the lifeguards and beach attendants on duty were informed of the situation. After saving them both in a hurry, they were sent to the Sadar Hospital in the Cox's Bazar District, where the doctors on call declared them dead at 11:30 a.m.
