Blast in Fatullah house burns 4 of a family

An explosion has occurred at an apartment in Fatullah of Narayanganj, burning four members of the same family.  The incident happened at a second-floor apartment of a four-storey building in the Khilmarket area of Kashipur Union at around 1 am on Sunday.

The victims are - Sultan Miah, his wife Sahida Aktar, and their sons Nabi Hossain and Ali Miah.

According to eyewitnesses, all four of the family members returned from a trip to their village on Saturday night. The blast happened right as a lighter was lit to power on the stove. Neighbours rushed them first to the Narayanganj General Hospital. As their condition deteriorated, they were taken to the Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery (SHNIBPS).

Confirming the matter, the Fire Service and Civil Defense (FSCD) hotline duty officer Rakibul Hasan said members of the FSCD reached the spot. Details can be known later.
