Picnic bus-laguna crash kills 4 in Ctg

A head-on collision between a picnic bus and a laguna has killed four in the Uttor Harbang Kolatoli area on the border between Lohagora and Chokoria Upazilas on the Chattogram-Cox's Bazar Highway.

Five others were injured in the accident which occurred at around 7:30am on Thursday. The bodies were taken to the Chiringa Highway Police Station and both of the vehicles were seized, said the police station's Officer in Charge Mahbubul Haque Bhuiyan.

The deceased are Md Ridwan, Abu Bakkar, Mohiuddin, and Joynal Hossain. They were all passengers of the laguna, on their way to work in Lohagora.

Meanwhile, the five injured were all passengers of the picnic bus. Their identity could not be identified immediately.

According to the eyewitnesses, the picnic bus was going to Cox's Bazar, while the laguna was headed towards Chattogram. The collision killed the four passengers of the laguna on the spot. The injured were taken to various hospitals in Lohagora by the fire service.
