Voting in a Narshingdi-4 centre cancelled

The polling in a Narshingdi-4 (Monohardi-Belabo) constituency centre has been cancelled due to alleged irregularities.

"Voting in Ibrahimpur Govt. Primary School Centre of Sallabad union under Narshingdi-4 (Monohardi-Belabo) constituency has been cancelled for various alleged irregularities," Assistant Returning Officer Matiur Rahman confirmed to journalists on Sunday morning.

Industries Minister Advocate Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun is contesting the polls with the symbol of the boat in this constituency while Upazila Chairman and Narshingdi district Awami League Advisory Committee Member Saiful Islam Khan Biru is vying as an independent candidate.
