Truck-autorickshaw crash kills 3 in Manikganj

A head-on collision between a truck and an autorickshaw has killed three people in Manikganj and injured three more.

Manikganj Sadar Police Station Officer in Charge Md Habil Hossain confirmed that the accident happened at the Outpara area of Manikganj Sadar Upazil on the Hemayetpur-Singair-Manikganj road at around 10am on Monday.

According to police, the autorickshaw headed to Manikganj collided with a brick-laden truck coming from the opposite direction. The autorickshaw's driver died on the spot. The injured were sent to Manikganj Sadar Hospital, where doctors declared two more dead.

The three deceased were identified as Shahin Molla (autorickshaw driver), 42, Jasim Talukder, 50, and his grandson Yasin, 5. Their bodies are kept at the hospital morgue.

Among the injured, Hamza, 3, and Fowzia, 30, are in critical condition, doctors said.
