Massive fire breaks out in BIWTA warehouse

The Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) warehouse in Narayanganj caught fire at around 1:15pm on Saturday.

Confirming the matter, Narayanganj Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) Director Fakhar Uddin Ahmed said seven firefighting units were working to control the blaze in the warehouse at the city's Barafkal area.

The origin of the fire could not be immediately ascertained.
