Truck-easybike collision kills 4 in Khulna

A head-on collision between a truck and an easybike killed four people in the Angardoha area on the Khulna-Satkhira Highway at around 4pm on Saturday.

The four deceased are- easybike driver Bishwajit Biswas, Sabbir Morol, Nipa Dhali, and a girl who could not be identified. Three people were injured in the collision and they were admitted to the Khulna Medical College Hospital. All of them were on board the easybike.

Dumuria Police Station Officer in Charge Sukanta Saha said the incident happened at the Angardaho village under Khornia Union of Dumuria Upazila. The collision between a Satkhira-bound truck and a Khulna-bound easybike killed two on the spot. Two others died on the way to a hospital.

The vehicles involved in the collision were seized, but the truck driver and helper escaped.

Locals said that traffic was obstructed on the highway for nearly an hour after the accident. Later police, highway police, and fire service members brought the situation under control.
