Cox's Bazar-Chattogram rail link snapped as train derails

Three bogies, including the engine of a special Eid train, derailed at Dulahazra of Chaokoria Upazila in Chattogram on Wednesday morning, snapping rail communication on the Cox's Bazar-Chattogram route. No casualties were reported in the incident. 

Confirming the matter, Cox's Bazar Railway Station's Master Md Golam Rabbani said, the special train left from Chattogram to Cox's Bazar at around 7am. It derailed at Dulahazra of Chokoria. 

After the derailment, a rescue train was expected to reach the location, after which the train link could be re-established, the station master added.
