Body of young woman recovered from Cox's Bazar beach

Police recovered the body of a young woman from Kolatoli Point beach in Cox's Bazar on Wednesday night. Her identity could not be confirmed immediately.

Confirming the matter, Cox's Bazar Sadar Police Station Officer in Charge Md Rakibuzzaman said, the young woman's age is approximately 18-20 years. 

Citing the locals, the OC said a child spotted the body floating in water in the Memberghata area at around 9:30pm. Later, a local named Nurul Alam called 999 and informed the police. On information, police recovered the body. 

The OC also said that there were no signs of assault on the woman's body. There is an old bruise on the right side of her forehead. She has short hair. She was wearing a three-piece. 

The cause of her death remains unknown, OC Rakibuzzaman said. Her body was sent to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. Police are working to find out her identity and the mystery behind her death.
