Motorcyclist killed in Tangail road accident

A motorcyclist was killed when a truck hit his bike on the Tangail-Bangabandhu Bridge highway in Saratoil area under Kalihati upazila of the district of Tangail on Monday.   

The deceased was identified as Billal Hossain, 38, son of Anis Miah, a resident of Muslim Nagar area of Demra Police Station in Dhaka, said sub-inspector of Bangabandhu Bridge East Police Station Yusuf Ali said.

The accident occurred on his way to Dhaka from Pabna riding a motorcycle. When he reached in Saratoil area, a truck hit the motorbike around 8am, leaving him dead on the spot.

Police recovered the body from the spot, he said, the SI said, adding that legal action is under process in this connection.
