Sonamasjid land port operations remain suspended for seven days

The export-import activities of Sonamasjid Land Port (SLP) remain suspended for seven days at a stretch from Saturday on the occasion of the holy Eid-Ul-Azha, the second-largest religious festival of the Muslim community.

Confirming the matter Kazi Shahabuddin, President of Sonamasjid Land Port Import Export Group, said the activities of the country's second-largest land port will resume on June 22 after the Eid celebrations.

The decision was taken unanimously by business leaders of the two countries, he added.

However, the movement of travellers through the land port will continue as usual.
