40 Chandpur villages celebrate Eid in line with Saudi Arabia

In line with Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia, around 40 villages in Chandpur, including Hajiganj Sadra Darbar Sharif, are celebrating the holy Eid-ul-Azha on Sunday.

The holy Eid-ul-Azha prayer congregation was held Sunday at 9am on the grounds of Sadra Darbar Sharif.

Pirzada Allama Zakaria Chowdhury Al Madani of Sadra Darbar Sharif led the congregation.

During a special munajat after the prayers, the devotees prayed for the happiness, security and prosperity of the Muslim Ummah, the country and the nation.

Another Eid Jamaat was held at 9:30am on the grounds of Sadra Hamidiya Fazil Degree Madrasa.

Since 1928, both Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Azha started to be celebrated in line with Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia.

Late Pir Maulana Ishak (RA) of Sadra Darbar Sharif of Hajiganj Upazila first started the rule and later it was followed by his numerous followers.
