One killed in Jamalpur train accident

A man died after a Dhaka-bound commuter train hit a brick-laden tractor in Islampur Upazila of Jamalpur on Sunday.

The victim was identified as Bhutto Miah, 40, of village Shashariabari in Islampur Upazila of the district. He was driving the tractor. 

Islampur Police Station Officer-in-charge Suman Talukdar said the brick-laden tractor was passing a level crossing near Mosharafganj railway station when the commuter train from Dewanganj Bazar station hit it.

Bhutto Miah was injured critically in the accident. He succumbed on the way to Mymensingh Medical College hospital on Sunday night.
