Red alert issued at Panchagarh border area

The Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB) has issued a red alert in Panchagarh along the Bangladesh-India border. Frequent patrolling on both sides of the border was conducted by BGB and BSF. 

The alert was issued on Wednesday. According to BGB sources, the alert was issued to ensure no one can take advantage of the prevailing unrest in Bangladesh to trespass into either country.

Panchagarh 18 BGB Battalion Captain Lt. Col. Ziaul Haque said India already had a red alert. Not both countries have imposed red alert along the border.
