Heavy rain to persist for 2 more days in Chattogram

Chattogram City has once again become submerged under waist-high water due to heavy rain since Wednesday night. The rainfall may continue for two more days, said the met office. 

Ali Akbar Khan, assistant meteorologist of Patenga's met office, said 142mm of rainfall was recorded from 9am Wednesday to 9am Thursday. Meanwhile, 55mm of rainfall was recorded from 6am to 9am on Thursday. 

Chattogram City's Shulkobohor, Muradpur, Gate No. 2, Mohammadpur, Zakir Hossain Road, Wasa Reboti Mohon Road, Prabartak More Katalganj, DC Road, Fultola, KB Aman Ali Road, Chawkbazar, Bakolia, Dewanhat, Mogoltuli, Pathantuli, Agrabad Commerce College Road, Halishahr's Wapda areas have become inundated under waist-high water. Traffic has halted on many roads.
