Covered van-autorickshaw collision kills 5

A collision between a covered van and an autorickshaw has killed five people in Kaliganj of Gazipur. 

The accident happened at around 11pm on Saturday at the Kaliganj-Tongi-Ghorashal Bypass Road's Mulgao Madrasa area. 

Kaliganj Police Station Officer in Charge Alauddin confirmed the matter

The deceased were identified as Rabeya Begum, 70, Aman Ullah, 5, Mohammad Ali, 55, Amal Kumar Karmakar, 39, Nazmul, 35. 

The bodies are being kept at the police station, Kaliganj Police Station duty officer S I Mazed said on Sunday. 

Kaliganj Fire Service Leader Mostafizur Rahman said they recovered four bodies at the accident spot. A child died after reaching the hospital.
