Female worker dead in clash between workers in Ashulia

A clash broke out between two groups of workers in front of the Maskot Garments Factory in the Jirabo area of Ashulai on Tuesday morning. A female worker died in the clash and at least three workers were injured. However, workers claim that around 20-25 workers were injured. 

The deceased worker was identified as Mst Rokeya Begum, members of the law enforcement agencies said. She was a sewing machine operator at the Maskot Garments Factory.

Confirming the matter, an Ashulia Industry Police official told the media that a factory was closed for maintenance. This agitated them. The workers of the Maskot Garments Factory engaged in a clash with workers from two other nearby factories. Mst Rokeya Begum was critically injured and was rushed to a hospital.
