Truck collision kills 2 in Jhenaidah

A collision between two trucks killed two and injured one person in Jhenaidah at around 5am on Tuesday. 

The deceased were identified as Anisur Rahman, 65, and Farukh Matubbor, 45, both from Boro Kaunai Village under Saltha Upazila of Faridpur. The injured was identified as Motiar Rahman of the same Upazila's Bhawal village. He is now receiving treatment at the Sadar Hospital. All three were going to Meherpur to buy Bananas. 

According to locals, A mini truck from Faridpur was going to Meherpur. When the truck reached the Sadhuhati area of the Jhenaidah-Chuadanga Highway, it hit the back of another truck. The collision killed two and injured one. 

Confirming the matter, Jhenaidah Fire Service official Tanvir Hassan said the injured person was rescued and taken to the Sadar Hospital. The bodies of the two deceased were handed over to the police.
