Indian national detained at Bhurungamari border

An Indian national was detained by members of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) on charges of trespassing through the Bhurungamari border at Kurigram on Wednesday night. 

Acting on a tip-off, BGB personnel from the Bagbhandar Border Outpost (BOP) camp apprehended two men from Bhothat Bazar near border pillar 957 around 9:00pm. One of them managed to flee, while the other was detained by the BGB. 

The detained individual was identified as Mozaffar Hossain, hailing from the Motherganj area under Sahebganj Upazila in Cooch Behar district, West Bengal.
