8 killed in Pirojpur road accident

Eight people, including four children, were killed when a private car fell into a roadside ditch around 2 am on Thursday in Kadamtala area of Pirojpur Sadar Upazila.

Abdus Sobahan, Officer-in-Charge of Pirojpur Sadar Police Station, confirmed the casualties.

It is learnt that the driver of the private car heading to Nazirpur from Kuakata lost control over its steering and fell into the canal in the area, killing a total of eight people, including four children.

Police recovered eight bodies from the car, said the police official.

However, the details of the victims were not immediately available.
