Bodies of 2 missing ASIs recovered in Kushtia, Pabna

The bodies of Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Sadrul Hasan and Mukul Hossain were recovered from Kushtia and Pabna, respectively one and two days after they went missing from the Padma River in the Shilaidaha area under Kumarkhali upazila of Kushtia.

Sadrul, 40, and Mukul, 40, went missing on Sunday night as their boat sank in the Padma River near the Char Shadipur area when criminals attacked them. The incident also injured another ASI and two UP members. 

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kumarkhali Thana Nazrul Islam said divers recovered Sadrul's body around 3pm on Tuesday from the river in the Shilaidaha area. 

Meanwhile, a body was recovered from the Padma River near Nazirpur area under Sujanagar of Pabna on Wednesday morning. It was identified as ASI Mukul's body.
