Horlicks launches regional rounds of 'Brain Games Olympiad'

The Horlicks 'Brain Games Olympiad' has taken Bangladesh by storm, captivating thousands of young students in grades 6 to 8 with a groundbreaking platform to showcase their intellectual prowess. This first-of-its-kind event, packed with challenging quizzes, puzzles, and brain games, has already drawn over 15,000 eager participants from across the nation, fueling excitement in classrooms and homes alike.

Following the online preliminary round, which wrapped up in October, the Olympiad recently launched its thrilling regional rounds, according to a press release received Tuesday.  

Events held at Pahartali Girls' School & College in Chittagong on October 26, Darshan Barison Nessa High School & College in Rangpur, and Lions School & College in Khulna on November 2 saw impressive participation, with students diving headfirst into this intellectually stimulating competition. Teachers are enthusiastic about how the Olympiad is encouraging students to think critically outside their usual curriculum, while parents have voiced their appreciation for Horlicks’ commitment to nurturing young minds.

One parent in Chittagong expressed, "Horlicks has given our children a platform to think and excel. We are thrilled to see their enthusiasm." Another from Khulna added, "This Olympiad is an incredible opportunity. It’s wonderful to see them learning and enjoying it."

The journey continues with upcoming rounds in Khilgaon Model College in Dhaka and Mymensingh Zilla School on November 9. The top 20 from each region will then compete in the national round on November 16, where participants stand a chance to win remarkable prizes, including Tk 3,00,000 for the champion, Tk 2,00,000 for the runner-up, and Tk 1,00,000 for third place, along with Tk 25,000 awards for seven additional contestants.

With enthusiastic support from teachers and parents alike, the Horlicks Brain Games Olympiad is proving to be an inspiring journey for Bangladesh’s young thinkers.
