Gas leakage blast burns 7 workers in Narayanganj

An explosion occurred at Kachpur of Narayanganj as gas leaked from the main line on the road, burning seven workers. The incident happened on the road in front of the Sonapur Lovely Cinema Hall at Kachpur at around 11pm on Monday. 

Two of the injured were out of danger, but the other five were admitted to the Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery in critical condition. They were identified as- Joy, 20, Md Jahangir Alam, 45, Md Sultan, 24, Raju, Mizan, 38, Ripon, 38, and Md Shahjalal. 

According to eyewitnesses, workers were placing taps in front of the cinema hall. While welding, the gas leakage caused an explosion, burning the seven workers.
