Multiple crashes on Dhaka-Mawa Expressway kill 1, injure 15

Low visibility due to heavy fog caused multiple accidents on the Dhaka-Mawa Expressway, killing one person and injuring at least 15 more. 

The crashes happened between 6am and 8:30am on Sunday at three separate places on the Expressway. 

Confirming the matter, Srinagar Fire Service Warehouse Inspector Abul Kalam Azad said the deceased was identified as Md Farhad Hossain, 40, the driver of one of the buses. He was a resident of the Bhanga area of Faridpur. The injured were all rescued and taken to Srinagar Upazila Health Complex. 

According to police, at least seven buses, truck and private cars were involved in the crashes which disrupted traffic on the expressway for about two hours. Three vehicles fled after the incidents while police removed the other four vehicles from the expressway.
