Collision between 6 trucks kills 2 in Natore

Six trucks collided with each other due to low visibility in heavy fog on the Natore-Bogura Highway early on Monday. The incident killed two and injured at least seven others. 

The accident happened in the Dalsarak area. One of the deceased was identified as truck driver Md Hussain, 35. The other deceased was a woman who could not be identified. 

Jhalmalia Highway Police SI Saddam Hossain confirmed the death of one person. 

After the accident, hundreds of vehicles became stuck on the road. Natore Road Division said a wrecker is on the way to remove the affected trucks from the road to ease vehicle movement. 

According to locals and the Jhalmalia Highway Police, a sand-laden dump truck was on its way to Singra when it collided with a rock-laden truck coming from the opposite side. After the collision, four other trucks behind the rock-laden truck caused rear-end collisions. One of the trucks rolled over and fell into a ditch next to the road.
