Tetulia suffers from severe cold wave

A bone-chilling cold wave has hit people in Tetulia early this year. Temperature has plunged despite the lack of early morning fog. Low-income people are trying to survive the terrible weather by burning  fires. 

According to the local met office, the minimum temperature on Saturday was recorded at 9.8 degrees Celsius at around 6am. The temperature fell even further with time and was 9.4 degrees Celsius at 9am. The temperature was lower the day before. It was 8.3 degrees Celsius at 9am on Friday. 

Aside from the severe cold wave in Tetulia, a mild cold wave is affecting the adjacent areas, Tetulia met office official Jitendra Nath Roy said. The cold may intensify further this week.
