Sleeping woman killed in Lalmonirhat road crash

A woman sleeping in her home was killed and others including a child were injured in a road accident in the Patikapara Battala area under the Hatibandha upazila of Lalmonirhat district early on Monday. 

The deceased was identified as Nuri Begum, 55, wife of Sahidul Islam, a resident of the aforementioned area.

A goods-laden truck lost control and barged into a house next to the Lalmonirhat-Burimari highway, leaving Nuri dead on the spot and injuring other members of a family including a child, said Mahamudunnabi, officer-in-charge (OC) of Hatibandha Police Station.

The injured were sent to the Upazila Health Complex, the OC added.
