Traffic movement restored on Baipail-Abdullahpur road

RMG workers of Sharmin Group have lifted their blockade on the Baipail-Abdullahpur road and traffic movement was restored after five hours. 

At around 10am on Monday, the workers sacked from a Sharmin Group factory blocked the road to demand their wages and other payments. Police used water canon on them at around 3pm, when the workers were forced to lift the blockade. 

Nearly 10km long tailbacks formed in both directions due to the blockade, causing suffering to commuters. 

Ashulia Shilpa-1 Police Superintendent Mohammad Mominul Islam Bhuiyan confirmed the matter to the Daily Samakal.
