Another devotee dies at Ijtema

One more devotee, who joined the second phase of the 58th Biswa Ijtema, died at the Ijtema venue in Tongi, Gazipur on Friday night.

This brings the total death toll of devotees dying during this phase of Ijtema to three. 

The deceased was identified as Mohammad Abdul Aziz, 60. He died at around 10:30pm, said Mohammad Sayem, media coordinator for Saad followers, on Saturday morning. 

The second phase of the 58th Bishwa Ijtema began Friday (February 14) and it will end with the Akheri Munajat (final prayer) on February 16.

The district administration on February 9 handed over the Tongi Ijtema ground to the followers of Maulana Saad Kandhalvi for holding the second phase of the Biswa Ijtema.
