Explosion from gas leakage burns 8 including women, children

Leakage from a gas supply line caused an explosion at a tin-shed house in Jalkuri of Siddhirganj in Narayanganj, burning eight people from two families, including women and children. 

The injured were identified as rickshaw puller Md Hannan, 55, his wife Nurjahan Aktar Lucky, 32, their son Sabbir, 12, daughter, 10, Jannat, 5. The other three are Sohag, 25, his wife Rupali Begum, 22, and their only daughter, 16-month-old Sumaiya. 

Right after the explosion, the burn victims were rescued and admitted to the National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute in Dhaka. 

Confirming the matter, the institute's resident physician Dr Shaon Bin Rahman told the media that their treatment is ongoing.
