30 shops gutted in Khagrachhari fire

At least 30 shops were gutted in a fire in Dighinala upazila of the district of Khagrachhari early Wednesday morning.

Md. Zakaria, Officer-in-Charge of Dighinala Police Station said the fire broke out at Tripti Hotel in Boalkhali Bazar next to Larma Square at 1.45 am and engulfed the adjacent shops.

On information, fire fighters rushed to the spot and doused the blaze, he said.

The cause of the fire and the total extent of the damage will be known after the investigation, the OC added.
