NCP rally venue in Gopalganj attacked

Miscreants have attacked and vandalised the stage of a National Citizen Party (NCP) rally at the Pouro Park area of Gopalganj on Wednesday afternoon. Gopalganj Sadar Police Station Officer in Charge Mir Md Sazedur confirmed the matter. 

At around 1:35pm, miscreants vandalised the stage and attacked the NCP leaders and activists who were present at the time. 

Eyewitnesses said a procession arrived at the venue and suddenly attacked. At that time, central leaders of the NCP were in the city but were not present at the venue. 

Earlier the same day, a police vehicle and a vehicle used by the upazila's UNO were torched and vandalised.
