3 dead, 15 injured in Faridpur bus accident

A head-on collision between two buses in Faridpur has killed three people and injured at least 15 others. Seven of the critically injured are being treated at Faridpur Medical College Hospital. 

The accident occurred at around 12:30pm on Thursday on the bridge adjacent to Kanaipur Bajar on the Dhaka-Khulna Highway. 

Confirming the matter, Karimpur Highway Police Officer in Charge Md Salauddin Ahmed said a Dhaka-bound Royal Express bus collided with a Magura-bound DD Paribahan bus, damaging the front of both vehicles. Nine critically injured people were sent to Faridpur Medical College Hospital, where duty doctors declared three of them, including one woman, dead. 

Two of the other deceased were identified as Ranjit Kumar and Atiar Rahman.
