BSF hands over 15 detained Bangladeshis to BGB

India's Border Security Force (BSF) has handed over 15 detained Bangladeshi nationals to Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB).

They were handed over at the Hakimpur Checkpost area of Toluigaccha border in Satkhira Sadar Upazila at around 8:30pm on Thursday. A flag meeting was held between the two forces before the handover. 

BSF detained some Bangladeshi nationals at around 11:30pm on August 27 when they were trying to trespass into India, according to a BGB press release. Among the detained were men, women, and children from Satkhira, Khulna, and Pirojpur. 

Toluigaccha BOP Commander Nayeb Subedar Abul Kashem filed a GD in this connection with the Satkhira Sadar Police Station on August 28. 

The police station's OC Shaminul Haque said the 15 detained Bangladeshis were handed over to the police. Their identities have been sent to the respective police stations for verification. They will be handed over to their legal guardians afterwards.
