Tk 12cr found at historic Pagla Mosque

After a recess of four months and 18 days, 13 donation boxes of the historic Pagla Mosque in Kishoreganj were opened. 32 bags of money were found in them. 

Assistant General Manager (AGM) of Rupali Bank of Kishoreganj Branch Md Ali Haresi confirmed the matter. 

The boxes were opened in the presence of Mosque Committee Chairman DC Fouzia Khan and Police Superintendent Md Hasan Chowdhury at around 7:30am on Saturday. 

After counting till 7:30pm, Tk 12,09,37,220 along with foreign currencies and jewellery was found. Several letters were also found. 

On July 4, a donation website was launched to facilitate donations from afar. The DC said Tk 5,30,000 was donated through the website till Friday.
