Truck hits motorcycle, killing 3 family members

Three motorcycle riders were killed after being hit by a truck in Faridpur of Pabna. 

The accident occurred in the Demra Chakchakiya area of the upazila around 10:00 am on Tuesday. 

The deceased are Sohel Rana, 28, his wife Auliya Khatun, 25, and their daughter Sumaiya, 7, all residents of Charpara village in Chatmohar upazila. 

Locals reported that Sohel Rana was returning home with his wife and daughter from Shahjadpur in Sirajganj on a motorcycle that morning. On their way, a truck collided with the motorcycle in the Demra Chakchakiya area. Auliya Khatun and Sumaiya died on the spot. 

Sohel Rana, seriously injured, was first admitted to the Upazila Health Complex by locals. As his condition worsened, he was transferred to Pabna General Hospital and later died while being taken to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment. 

Faridpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Hasnat Zaman said that upon receiving information, the bodies of the deceased mother and daughter were recovered from the accident site and taken into police custody. 

After completing the legal process, their bodies were handed over to the family.
